Nowhere Creative was established in 2010 as a design collaboration between John and Christopher. We are a Digital Design Boutique practicing the most current web technologies led by strategic design thinking. We pride ourselves with developing in new and emerging media. Combined, the two of us have over 12 years of experience servicing some of the biggest companies in the world.

We formed Nowhere Creative to generate fun and inspiring work - it began as a venture to make our own personal ideas and projects come to life. Just as clients are looking for the best people to work with, we are seeking clients who want to be driven into 2013 and beyond with technology that is not already outdated. We push design standards with a group of individuals who are committed to our same beliefs - that design leads development. We are a small team that operates under the approach of crowdsourcing and collaborating with the most talented professionals in the creative world.

The Nowhere Creative Services range from Website Construction, iPad Applications, Android Applications, Web Banners, Branding, Social Media Campaigns, and even Print Work. Scroll down to learn what we are about, the culture we stand for, and to see some of the work that we have done since 2010.

  • The Electric Company

The Electric Company is a great example of the potential of Nowhere Creative. This is a flash based site that is dynamically server based. This site is so robust that if you can think of anything an eight year old would want to do, this site probably has it. Games, online video editing, online beat maker, user profiles, news feed to see what other kids are doing and easter eggs hidden all over the site. Nowhere Creative recorded The Electric Company cast on green screens so the user can be guided through the site by the actual characters. A PBS parents site was also created for learning activities and information about the show.

The Electric Company Site won an Emmy.

  • Maxwell Davidson Gallery

After a successful Davidson Contemporary Site Relaunch, Nowhere Creative was contracted once again to develop a clean interface and open canvas for the Maxwell Davidson Gallery group. The Gallery emphasizes 20th Century Modern and Contemporary paintings, drawings and sculpture with a concentration in Kinetic sculpture. In addition to representing Artists on an exclusive basis, the Gallery also carries the work of major 20th Century masters such as Matisse, Leger, Calder, Wesselmann, Niki De Saint Phalle, Matta, Francis, and Hockney. The development team stayed within the Square Content Management System constraints and created a custom slide show and navigation to be featured on the Homepage.

  • Salt Shakerz

Salt Shakerz, LLC is a lacrosse apparel company that came to Nowhere with a big vision. Their goal was to grow their clothing line through a strong e-commerce web presence. We created a platform where their lacrosse community can view galleries from past tournaments, profile highlights of the teams they sponsor, interact with the brand through twitter, and most importantly an e-commerce portal that allows users to purchase clothing through the site. The results have been fantastic with over 500 daily hits per day. The Nowhere Creative Development team produced a Content Management System so that the client would have front end editing capabilities.

  • A.A. Sayia

A.A. Sayia was the first official web site win for the partnership of John and Christopher. The brand was established in 1917 and is still family owned. We decided that a rich brand identity needed to be established. Our main challenge was that the Spice trade is extremely competitive. The company didn't want to reveal too much content to their competitors. Our solution was to provide Art Direction with large and beautiful imagery while making the user experience elegant and inviting.

  • CCRH

Nowhere Creative added Health Care to their portfolio after launching The Center for Colon and Rectal Health. The subject matter wasn't the easiest but it helped push our creative limits to provide a welcoming environment for users. The site teaches users about the harmful risks of Colon and Rectal diseases, provides instruction for "pre" and "post" surgery procedures, and provides a background into the services the group provides. Explore the interactive slider featured in the "Patient Eduction" section of the site.

  • Smashbox Cosmetics

Smashbox was one of the first major sites that John Anderson designed and developed. He learned the ins and outs of javascript and manipulating server-side code, while incorporating any new technology he could get his hands on. It was recognized as one of the premier cosmetic sites when it first launched.

  • Humongous Agency

This website is currently in the process of being developed for a commercial director. Christopher designed the Home page typography to mask all of the director's work as it plays in the background simultaneously with no sound. The portfolio section is a color wheels that displays descriptions of each spot as the user rolls over it.

  • Judson Realty

Judson Realty, LLC, was founded in 1972 by E. William Judson, based on real estate holdings that originally formed part of the portfolio of Dr. Jules Stein, founder of Music Corporation of America, Inc. (MCA). Judson Realty boasts some of the prime Real Estate offerings in New York City. Nowhere Creative developed a cross platform site for an exclusive multi-million dollar listing to be featured primarily on the iPad so that Realtors could use the device on-site with prospective customers. After the success of the iPad work, Nowhere Creative was contracted to redo the complete design of judsonrealty.com.

  • Davidson Contemporary

We are pleased to announce the latest addition to the Nowhere Creative client list, Davidson Contemporary! The art gallery is located on Fifth Avenue in the heart of Manhattan dealing to high-end art buyers of Gotham. The design challenge was to create a simple, elegant look that didn't take anything away from the art. The main goal was to showcase the pieces and let the art take center stage. The web design was formatted to utilize the Squarespace Development platform.

  • Branding

All too often in today's world of emerging technology, the foundation of good design gets overlooked. The key fundamentals of elegant and simplified design execution sometimes get thrown out with the window with web development. We believe in the roots of the creative industry, and typography is one of the first forms of graphic design. We pride ourselves on letter spacing and clever, simple ideas. Logo design and traditional branding are still a key component to the Nowhere Creative offering.
